THE BLURB:
The Center Tear technique has been a standard with
entertainers for years. Yet, many of the methods are either
difficult, illogical, or artificial looking.

Lee Earle's Center tear (based on an Al Baker concept)
eliminates those problems.

    * No bad angles - even if someone stands directly behind
you with his chin on your shoulder!
    * Bad handwriting is not a concern - your logical
premise will get them to PRINT clearly, every time.
    * Perfect for working in low lighting because the
routine ensures writing will always be clear, bold, and
legible.
    * Forget about sneaky moves or complicated handling -
you will be amazed at how easy this method is.
    * Extremely deceptive because you begin to reveal
details before you ever touch the folded paper!
    * You never look at the paper while you are tearing - a
major weakness of most other methods.
    * Nor do you ever go to your pocket, turn away from your
audience, or use any other prop, pad, or tablet.
    * Start clean, end clean, and leave 'em with their jaws
hanging open

Running Time Approximately 48 min

MY COMMENTS:
I have to say this with each variation of the Center Tear:
There are many good ones out there.  Popular ones include
Osterlind's and Bernstein's, but the list is not limited to
those two, by any means.  And which center tear you do is
all a matter of preference. Many workers I've talked liked
Lee's variation.  I think most know that Lee Earle is a very
good teacher and this center tear is a very nice technique.

But how do you know if you need this?  Realistically, you
don't.  Like some, you may find that this is the perfect
center tear for you.  Or you may not.  But do consider this:
If you do a center tear and it doesn't meet the conditions
listed above in the blurb, then I certainly recommend that
you try this one out.  If you're not comfortable with it,
then keep looking.  There are plenty of other techniques out
there.

Despite that, this DVD is a re-mastering of an older video.
This is a highly entertaining and enlightening presentation
and I always enjoy watching Lee, especially when he's
teaching because he's very good at explaining the moves and
subtleties.  So, if you're looking for a good center tear or
looking for a better center tear, I do recommend checking
this out.
