Many people know why the Electric Touch is the obvious

MY COMMENTS:
Unfortunately, the blurb seems to focus on presenting this
effect like a gag. It isn't. And it's truly in bad taste
to give someone a surprise shock and think that it's
entertaining. Well, that's not what this tool is all about.
Not at all. And anyone who bought it to do just that or,
for those who have dismissed this product's value because
that's all they think can be done with it, have most
assuredly missed the more practical applications.

For instance, a participant can be thinking of something.
The performer explains that their fingers will touch, the
participant will feel a static shock from the energy
transference, and the performer will then reveal the info.
In this case, the shock is not a surprise, nor is it the
focus of the effect. Yet, the shock will add an exciting
and memorable physical element to the mental effect.

You can also do several PK type effects. Bits of paper or
tobacco can jump around under your fingertips. You can take
a small 12 volt florescent bulb and, with the participant
holding one end and you the other, have it light up. There
are many other possibilities, a few of which are shared on
the DVD.

Now, I should admit that I've watched the DVD and inspected
the device, but I haven't tried it. One important thing to
know is that if you are familiar with how static electricity
works, then you know what the Electric Touch must be. And
you'd be right. What's not included in the above description
is that, in order to work the device, you must prepare, or
permanently, alter your shoes. This is so that you can be
grounded. Again, if you know how static electricity works,
then this will make sense to you. Other than that, it can
be activated with a simple touch and there is an on/off
switch on the device itself. It is easy to use. But the
general precautions for using electrical and magnetic
devices apply, such as not using it near a pace-maker,
computers, etc.

The package itself is very handsome and well-produced.
Everything you need, except the shoes, is included. It all
comes in a slipcase with the items listed in the blurb.
There is a 6 minute DVD demonstration of the Electric Touch
being performed on Hollywood Blvd. and a 15 minute
explanation by Yegal Mesika on the workings and handlings of
the device.

Obviously, this isn't for everyone. You're dealing with
electricity (and magnetism) so you must be careful in your
use of this. I've also heard that it's illegal to give
someone a shock in Great Britain and so I caution those who
wish to use this to make sure you can safely and legally use
it in your area. Other than that, if you find this to be
something you can definitely use, and the set-up and
handling requirements are within your performing parameters
or comfort, then I definitely recommend this unique tool.

NOTE ON THE PRICE: When the first initial batch was
released to dealers, mostly filled with pre-orders, the
suggested retail price was $149.95. After this batch
quickly sold out, the creators decided to raise the price to
$199.95. Unfortunately, I did not stock up on this with
pre-orders and am only able to get this product at a
discount based off the higher price.
