Outlaw-Effects'
SINISTER
$60
THE BLURB:
In 1955 the New York State Division of Criminal Justice
distributed a
confidential and classified 70 page booklet to the
Detective's of the N.Y.P.D.
It was a report that contained over 150 "profiles" of men
and women that had commited multiple capitol crimes
(murder).
Each entry has a detailed psychological "description" of the
killer along with the names of several of their victims. .
The C.M.C.(criminal mind comparison) Report was used as a
training tool for the Detective Bureau.
We've re-created this "profile guide" for you only our
"guide" is...special.
All the male "killers" in Sinister are also the male
customers in the pawn shop book.
The names have all been re-arranged in the Sinister book so
they do not appear together on the same pages as either of
the other two books.
The bottom line is, once you know the info from one book,
you also know the info in the entries in the other books!
IMPORTANT: All three books are designed as stand alone
effects, yet all three books can be inter-woven to create
wonderfully dark presentations.
Sinister allows you to go into the mind of the killer and
reveal how, who, and why they killed.
You do not need to know the page number (yes the pages are
numbered!). You do not need to peek the book. The spec has a
free choice of any page and any entry. And...you will be
able to name the killer!
The book is 4 1/2 inches X 3 1/2 spiral bound down the side
and completely aged!
MY COMMENTS:
This is the third in the series of gorgeous looking,
hand-aged notebooks by Outlaw Effects, the other two being
Homicide (Homicide UK) and Manhattanville (Whitechapel). If
you've read my comments on the other two, you'll know that I
think very highly of this series, although I prefer the less
grisly nature of the pawnshop book, Manhattanville.
This book returns to that grisly nature of killers and
victims, though that certainly is not a criticism, though I
do prefer the less grisly Manhattanville. However, I
actually found that that this book is much easier to use
than the other two. The codes/principles are the
essentially the same, but the construction of it is what
facilitates its use. Though the book has dozens of
apparently different profiles (and this is what the
participant will see while flipping through the book),
the profiles are incredibly variations of only three
basic profiles, which makes the memory work quite
a bit easier, yet still effectively deceptive to your
audience! One of those basic profiles actually
provides you with more incredible information to reveal
than the other two. Finally, a key feature is that, as the
blurb makes clear, it is brilliantly linked to the previous two
books so that you can use the two (or three) together.
As with the first two books, Outlaw-Effects only gives you
the bare bones of the routine and workings in the seven
pages of 8.5" by 11" instructions. There is a private forum
to discuss further insights into this product and the
password is included in the instructions. Those that have
the first two won't even need to read my comments. You
either have already ordered it or will be doing so now.
Those that haven't read it should know that this series of
books are a wonderful addition to any mentalists repertoire,
and if this particular premise doesn't appeal to you, you
should definitely get one of the other two.
