Jheff, creator of Ultimental, presents:
A Complete
10-Minute Routine
with E.S.P. Cards
Jheff has combined three of his strongest effects with ESP
cards into one seamless routine to create a highly
entertaining, talked-about, ten minute close-up act.
Included within this act are the following three routines:
THE PSYCHIC IN SPITE OF HIMSELF
The performer describes four different types of ESP and
incredibly the participant masters every one, including
telekinesis!
FINGERTIPS REDUX
Three ESP cards are freely selected and tabled face-down.
Their identities are unknown. The rest of the ESP cards are
placed in the performer’s pocket. Using only his touch and
his clairvoyant abilities, the performer then proceeds to
locate matching symbols with each location becoming more
challenging!
SYMBOL RESET
The performer explains that circles and squares can be
visually confusing to most people. The performer then
demonstrates this by showing the four squares becoming four
circles one at a time and then proving that it was all an
optical illusion!
MY COMMENTS:
Remember, these comments may be biased, since this is my
book. This is a 16-page, 5.5" by 8.5" booklet that contains
three solid routines with E.S.P. cards. I've actually been
doing all three for quite some time. In fact, Symbol Reset
is a mentalism version of an effect of mine that was
published way back in 1981 in Harry Lorayne's Apocalypse.
Most who know me, know that I usually carry around a set of
ESP cards in my pocket. And it just seemed natural to put
these three routines together into one act. You don't have
to do the entire act. I certainly don't most of the time,
due to time constraints. So feel free to use just one, swap
one out or do them individually. I will warn you that the
first and third routines do require such sleights as the
Elmsley Count, the Jordan Count, the double lift, the
Flushtration Count and a couple more. I explain some of the
sleights, but not all, since they can be found in many basic
card books. And, because I carry around a set of ESP cards
with me, these routines serve me well constantly. I feel
they are definitely worth it, but hey, I wrote the book, so
I'm entitled to say that. I certainly hope that if you
decide to get this, that you find you enjoy these routines,
and enjoy performing them, as much as I do.
